In February 2009, David will be starring with good friend James Millar (with Bev Kennedy on piano) in Gutenberg! The musical. This off-Broadway smash hit show finally arrives here in this limited premiere season from 17-21 February at the Seymour Centre.
In 1400 Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press.
In 2009, Bud (David) and Doug (James) wrote a show about it. No not just a show… but a big… splashy musical. Now they just need 10 million dollars or so to put it on!
In this two man comedy spoof, the pair of aspiring playwrights perform a backers audition for their new project… for you, the audience and some big Broadway producers With an unending supply of enthusiasm, Bud and Doug sing all the song and play all the parts in their silly historical epic!
2 men, 1 piano, 30 characters. More hats than My Fair Lady and 1 massively misguided dream!
